Your Therapists
Dr. Andrea
PhD, Founder
I created The Help Couch to facilitate positive change for individuals and couples. Intimate relationships, parenting, growing up, work, school, and social commitments - we understand how trying everyday life can be when things are out of balance. You are not alone in your challenges and you do not have to carry the weight by yourself. Together we will cultivate greater confidence, build richer, more intimate and fulfilling relationships and improve your feelings and behaviors.
Specializing in self-worth, intimate relationships, and family systems, our approach helps individuals and couples overcome conflicts and keep passion alive. We help people conquer problematic behaviors and improve mental health and functioning.
I care deeply about my work and the people we see. I have strived to hire a great group of therapists while creating a practice based on honesty, integrity, and empathy. Our style is warm and non-judgmental, and the therapeutic approach is tailored to meet your needs. We look forward to joining you on your path to well-being.

Welcome! Are you struggling with life’s challenges? Would you like support in navigating mood, emotional expression, or connecting your past to your present and making sense of that bridge? I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental safe space for clients to explore thoughts and feelings, identify strengths and limitations, and work towards goals. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am committed to helping clients develop the resilience and skills needed to thrive.
Are you preparing for or have you undergone weight loss surgery (including bariatric revision surgery)? It is often underestimated how integral the mental and emotional components of WLS are in the lifelong post-op journey. I specialize in therapy aimed at helping clients work through weight regain, transfer addiction, relationship to food, and healing trauma.
Additionally, I hold PMH-C certification which means I have specialty training in the assessment, support, and treatment of those who wish to begin a family, who are pregnant, or are in the postpartum period. My expertise along with my passion for this facet of life provides me the tools and understanding to support you while we explore the depth, complexity, and newness of emotions that often arise throughout the perinatal experience.
The next step is simple, just reach out and contact us. The administrative staff would be happy to answer any questions you may have as well as help you schedule your first session.

If your life has been impacted by depression and anxiety and your struggle has affected your life at home, school, or work, let’s talk!
I’m Emily and through my training and experience I have developed a passion for and specialization in helping people mitigate and overcome the adverse influence depression and anxiety can have on us. By working together, you will learn coping strategies, problem solving skills, and successful ways to reframe your anxious and negative thinking. These skills can aid in strengthening your confidence, communication, and ability to manage stressful situations.
Does your adult ADHD further complicate things? Utilizing a strength-based approach to life we can establish strategies for organization, managing issues of procrastination and avoidance. In practice, I utilize a down to earth, client centric approach that creates effective and practical solutions you can use.
